Course Overview
This interactive 2-hour session provides school leaders with concrete, actionable strategies to embed trauma-informed practices into leading change. We’ll explore:
- What do we mean by psychological safety and why it is important for everyone
- Seeing change through a trauma informed lens
- Pace of change – Practice into policy
- Leading with empathy what does this mean in a complex organisation
- Strategies for building trust and enabling staff to perform at their best.
- Exploring the pressures on school leaders and what to do about them.
- Being curious about resistance and having conversations that matter with staff
Introducing change and developing more trauma informed and relational approaches to education means, at times, encountering resistance from staff, who may be concerned about the changes and the impact on behaviour.
This training is ideal for school leaders who are keen to implement trauma informed approaches in their setting but may be encountering resistance or finding it hard to get consistency of approach.
