Tony Sammon
Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m Tony, I came to TIS after a 34 year career in education. I've been a teacher, SENCO, Deputy Head of a large secondary and a Head of a PRU. Working class kid from a council estate on Merseyside, I have always been drawn to working with those kids no-one else wanted to work with. I live in Weston super Mare in England and so I can see Wales from our beach! When I'm not working I'm busy spending time with my family, 4 wonderful children and a wonderful grandson. Massive rugby fan (too old to play any more) and I love the occasional wild swim.
What do you want everyone to know about TIS courses?
I want delegates to know that this work changes lives and I absolutely love being a small part of it.
Favourite joke?
A horse walks into a bar. The bartender asks, “Why the long face?” The horse replies, “Because you tell that same joke every time I come here.”
