A practical skills-based course, underpinned by evidence-based research studies. Designed to inform and empower staff to respond effectively to vulnerable children or young people who have experienced trauma and / or have mental health issues by delivering interventions addressing mild to moderate mental health problems, with a focus on recovery. The course is suitable for all adults working in a professional capacity with children.

11 Days over 6 Months
Requirements
No previous training required. The admission criteria is flexible with an expectation that delegates will either be working with or alongside children and young people, or in a strategic role supporting staff who are. We recommend however, that you have robust mental health yourself.
Notes
The Diploma course is delivered 2 days per month, across 5 months, with an assessment day on Day 11. There is an expectation to complete approximately 50 hours of work-based learning in order to deliver a twenty-minute Power Point presentation demonstrating how you have implemented your learning from the course. There is no written exam.
