Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m Alys, the Training and Media Co-ordinator for TIS Wales, based in Barry, South Wales. I was brought to this role by a passion to connect a background in clinical psychology with the Trauma-Informed ethos; helping ensure as many people as possible are singing from the same compassionate hymn sheet! When I’m not working, I love spending time reading, drinking lots of good coffee with friends and the occasional paddle-board around the beautiful Welsh coast (weather permitting!)
What do you want everyone to know about TIS courses?
Maya Angelou says “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Working with Trauma-Informed Schools has made me feel heard and ready to listen and will likely create the same empowerment in you.

Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac? He stayed up all night wondering if there really was a dog.
