Tell us a bit about yourself
I'm Donna, a TIS trainer and Home Group Tutor. I have worked with children and young people for over 30 years as a teacher, advisor, nurture practitioner, counsellor and trainer. I am passionate about my work and making a difference in young lives. I take every opportunity to learn about the impact of trauma and how we can help to heal it. My passion is underpinned by a deep understanding of trauma through lived experience and a desire to prevent its intergenerational transfer. Originally from North West London, I live near the coast in Suffolk. As well as my work with TISUK, I love decorating my campervan and meandering in it with my partner and beautiful chihuahua Suki Sue. I also enjoy gardening, singing, creating art and practicing mindfulness.
What do you want everyone to know about TIS courses?
I truly believe that TIS courses can help not just our work with young people but ourselves and how we relate to other people and the world.
Favourite joke?
I stayed up all night and tried to figure out where the sun was. Then it dawned on me.
