Lindsay Winterbourne
Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m Lindsay, Training and Operations Manager for TIS Wales, and TIS award consultant, brought here by Coral (😋) after working in education for over 25 years in both mainstream and SEMH special schools where my passion for supporting children facing challenge was ignited. I am based in South East Wales where I live in a mid-sixteenth century ‘project’! Outside of work, I love spending time with my grandchildren, am a rugby fanatic, enjoy gardening, walking and being in the outdoors immersed in our wonderous British nature.
What do you want everyone to know about TIS courses?
I want delegates to know that completing the diploma will be life-changing; it will empower and enable you to change the lives of children and young people for the better.
Favourite joke?
I am known for my inability to remember jokes… I usually forget the punchlines but I do remember one my daughter made up when she was three, ‘Why do giraffes have long necks?’ … ‘Because they have smelly feet!’.
