Tell us a bit about yourself
I'm Sara. I am a Senior Trainer and deliver training mainly in North Wales. I was first introduced to TISUK when children and families were in desperate need for us as a school to support them in their greatest time of need. The stakes were high, and we wanted a researched and proven approach to make a life-changing difference. I was a delegate on the first TISUK diploma course over 6 years ago in the North of England and the rest is history! I wanted to learn about a trauma informed approach to change the lives of broken-hearted children and in the proces, I realised there are lots of adults who need someone to hear their painful stories too. Other than TIS training, I am the Director of Education for a thriving School Trust in Cheshire East and Cheshire West. This job enables me to support leaders so that they lead flourishing schools that transform the lives of children. I am also a Mummy to twin girls who are my pride and joy!
What do you want everyone to know about TIS courses?
I want delegates to know that making children's lives better is my life's work. I love working with teams to increase life experiences and life expectancy for children.
Favourite joke?
My Favourite jokes are always ones made up by my twin girls who are 9 years old. The latest one is: What is God's favourite hobby? Knitting because he knitted us in our Mummy's tummy.
