Sara Williams
Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m Sara, and I am one of the North Wales gang of TIS trainers!
I teach at Ysgol Kingsland in Holyhead, and I am also the ALN coordinator for the school. I have been teaching at this school for over 15 years and I count myself very lucky to be part of a team of staff that priorities creating a safe, supportive, and happy environment for our children and community.
In 2019 I had the life changing experience of completing the 11 Day Diploma. I gained so much from the Diploma that it ignited a passion in me to be able to not only support children that face challenges and traumatic experiences but also to help build trauma informed schools and communities.
I live on beautiful Anglesey with my family, when I am not driving my three daughters around from one place to another, I love walking the sandy beaches near where I live, reading and going on camping adventures!
What do you want everyone to know about TIS courses?
TISUK Courses are the missing pieces of the jigsaw, the one that we have been waiting for and I can assure you that you will gain so much from them. Personally, it changed the way I teach, parent and enabled me to reflect on my own personal journey.
Favourite joke?
Did you hear about the guy whose left side was cut off? He’s all right now.
